谭德塞警告:下一波疫情比新冠“更致命”

世界卫生组织(WHO)秘书长谭德塞(Tedros Adhanom
Ghebreyesus)22日在日内瓦举行的世界卫生大会上警告,全世界要准备好应对下一波大流行,指出未来疫情可能比新冠病毒”更致命”。

Post)报导,谭德塞周一在日内瓦世界卫生大会(World Health
Assembly,WHA)的一场会议上警告,下一场大流行可能比新冠病毒”更致命”。
他说:”另一支变异株出现、导致患病及死亡数激增的威胁仍在,另一个更致命病原体出现的威胁仍在。”
新冠肺炎疫情3年多来夺走全球超过690万条人命,谭德塞表示,这代表地球上所有人都必须受到更好的保护,”我们不能逃避问题,如果我们不做出必要的改变,那谁来做?如果我们不现在行动,那何时才要行动?当下一场大流行来袭时,而且一定会来,我们必须准备好果断、共同、公平地应对。”
尽管祭出警告,谭德塞也在会议上赞赏140个会员国同意草拟全球大流行病协议、以及提升应对预算的决定。
世界卫生组织5日才正式宣布,COVID-19(2019冠状病毒疾病)不再是”国际关注公共卫生紧急事件”(Public Health
Emergency of International Concern,PHEIC)。
世界卫生组织在官网上列出9项对公卫构成最大威胁、必须”优先”研究的疾病,这些疾病有可能在区域蔓延,而且还没有足够的应对措施,因此有可能酿成下一波大流行。
这些疾病包括:伊波拉(Ebola)病毒、马堡病毒(Marburg)、”克里米亚─刚果出血热”(Crimean-Congo
haemorrhagic fever)、拉萨热(Lassa fever)、立百病毒(Nipah
Virus)、中东呼吸道症候群(Middle East Respiratory
Syndrome,MERS)、严重急性呼吸道症候群(Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome,
SARS)、COVID-19、兹卡(Zika)病毒、裂谷热(Rift Valley
fever),以及最令人担忧的”X疾病”(Disease X)。
X疾病是世卫对尚未发现的病菌引起的疾病统称。
